2008 has been a very busy year for me, and I'm excited to enter 2009 in just a couple of hours. I'll be watching a movie now, with the volume up high to block out the sound of fire works. Big dog Dexter REALLY doesn't appreciate the spectacular show of color and noise that is New Years Eve here in Norway.

It's been a while since I've done any challenges and I haven't been scrapping too much lately. I don't know, I've just been so busy and pooped since I started working I guess. Major change of pace after having been home with kiddos for almost 5 years.

And this is what I made with it. So far... I'm usually VERY good about using most of a kit without mixing too much with other stuff. Of course, it gets harder the further down you get into it and supplies are dwindling.
Lots of FUN papers and stuff in this one! I am SOOO in LOVE with October Afternoon it's not even funny! The colors are just so yum and the patterns are always so... well, YUM! What can I say? Love the stuff!

KIT 5 Very Vintage/ Virkelig Vintage

Holy cow, I scrapped!
It's been almost a month I think, since last time. I just haven't been feeling like it. Being sick all the time kinda does that to me. Two colds and a stomach flu...
Anyways, I finally got the last of the product for KIT 5, which I'm calling Very Vintage, or "Virkelig Vintage" in Norwegian.

For the Design Experiment Challenge #33

"Perfect". For challenge #33 at The Design Experiment. About capturing the moment. We took a hike in our local woods yesterday, although my son was not having a good day. Everything just seemed to be wrong. Fresh air and exercise usually helps, and this was no exception. I did get some good shots of his misery before he cheered up though! ;-)

A card for Sukkersøtt

This is the first card I've made for this very cool card maker's blog. No wonder really, I'm not much of a card maker =). But I have decided to make a few gift sets of cards for Xmas presents so it's nice to have some sketches or challenges to prompt me and prod me.





The colors are a tad bit off, because it's so hard to take a decent photo in this hard fall light.

"Clothes are over rated"

So today I started my very first scrap booking class ever.
I'm taking a 4 week class at Big Picture Scrapbooking called Scrapbook recipes, designed by May Flaum. This is the first LO I have made for the class so far. Let's see if I can continue being good and keeping up with assignments.
And yes, I just used what was in front of me from the last LO. As always I was too lazy too clean.

A LO I did of my MIL from when she was VERY pregnant with my DH back in -78.
I used only things that were sitting on my desk while scrapping =). Time to clean my desk you say? Ha!

"Gå i kø" (Walk in line)

The LO in my previous post has photos where it looks like we were all alone by the lake on Sunday. Soooo not the case! I think half of Oslo's population had decided to take the same walk we did that day. We barely made it out of the parking lot it was so full. And we only made it out after having to turn around twice 'cause I went the wrong way. Anyways... we were at times walking in line on the path around beautiful Sognsvann on a gorgeous day. But that was OK, because we had plenty of time. the kids wanted to play "bloopy" (imagine a small rock being trown into the lake here...) and the dog wanted to swim. A lot. He likes to do that if there's no ice. Brrrrr.
I used Pencil Lines' sketch # 103 for this LO. And it's made with KIT4, Mormors Hage from Eclectic Kits (minus the stamps and glitter).

Color Combos Galore Challenge #90

I haven't been exactly prolific in my scrapping the last few weeks, but I did go to the very last crop on Friday at Papertrends in Oslo. Got 4 LOs done there (will share later) as well as finishing 15 ATCs I was doing for a Halloween swap at Fiskateers.com.
This LO I just did now, Monday night, with photos from yesterday. We took a walk around Sognsvann here in Oslo, along with about 300000 other people out enjoying the beautiful fall weather. I loved the colors in this weeks challenge at CCG, they went perfectly with my photos I thought.

The challenge was to create a LO with a baby photo, with the bonus of getting a double chance at a prize if you used your own baby photo. So this is my contribution: "Classic Gerber Baby". And yes, that's me in the photo =).

Til Tones utfordring i Scrappehuset

"Drøbak Aquarium". This was a "back to basics" challenge. Focus on the photos and the story. I did not ad any embellishments to this one! pp only. And only scraps! I dove into the blue section of my scrap folder and sewed a bunch of pieces to a piece of white 12"x12" with different kinds of stitching. Some journaling on the mats, some on the photos and some on strips.

KIT 4 LO #3; "Water Color"

I went ahead and bought myself a starter kit for water color painting right before going on vacation. And I actually tried it while at our summer house! Just a little doodle thingy, but it's fun! I will definitely be using this paint more!

Total utter glee

Second LO made with KIT 4. And there will definitely be a lot more. LOTS of pp in this kit.
I used sketch # 95 from Pencil Lines for this LO.

I am loving all the bright colors and fun patterns in KIT 4 from my very own Eclectic Kits (come visit and join in my challenges every two weeks: www.eclectic-kits.com)
The butterfly was cut out of double corrugated cardboard and then flocked, as was the "24". And no, that's not my age =). The bird is a vintage playing card which will also be included in the kit.
I am still waiting for the last pieces of this kit to arrive from the US, but I'm hoping to have it up for sale before leaving for vacation this weekend.

Oh, my shoulders!

They are killing me! Too much scrapping this week-end! (Is there such a thing?)
There was an on-line crop hoppin' over at Fiskateers.com and I did 6 LO and 4 cards in two days.
I even won a challenge! Now I just have to wait patiently for my prize! I don't even know what it is, but it's sure to be good. It ALWAYS is at fiskateers.com (I've won quite a few challenges and misc. prizes there.)

For Beate's Challenge at ScrappeMania

So the challenge was to make a LO that is not square in any way.

I haven't been scrapping at all this week as I've been a little under the weather. Still not much better, but it was about time to let some creativity out onto paper.

CD album for Scrappe Manias "Beate challenge"

So I just finished my very first CD album in just under 3 hours. Soooo satisfying to finish a whole little album in a few hours. I called it "the making of a CD album" =)



The challenge was to make a LO that was a shape other than a square. (I'm hoping a mini album counts -if not I'll just have to try again.)

I've had some issues with overlays earlier, but I think I pulled it off this time.


This is based on sketch #91 over at Pencil Lines. I try to do their sketch every week.
The title is "under overflaten" -under the surface. Another challenge at Scrappe Mania!; use one of these song titles for your LO. The list was pulled from a popular Norwegian "top 20 hit list".
And of course I managed to put some ribbon on there for Scrappedugnad's ribbon challenge. (I think this should be the last entry for that challenge...;).)

Denne er (ikke så) løst basert på Mo9ca's "Grandparents". Jeg synes det var sånn en flott ide å få alle fire besteforeldre med på en og samme LO, så den ble ganske lik, ja!
Denne ble tittel-løs, noe jeg ofte har problemer med å godta (men ofte gjør...), men jeg synes det var greit her. "Blonden" er silkepapir jeg punchet dobbelt med en Fiskars border punch og brettet ut. Sydde så gjennom midten mens jeg "scrunchet" det sammen.
