Finally!

I haven't blogged for 6 or 7 weeks. And during these weeks I've barely scrapped. I seem to be in a bad slump. I've made a couple of LOs for Skissedilla, but not submitted them. Hmmm... I don't know, maybe it's time to pack up all my stuff for a while and wait for the itch to create to come back. I sure would be nice to have a "normal" bedroom. I guess I'll give it a week or two more...
I did make a LO for last week's sketch at Skissedilla, I guess that's #73

Wild Orchid Challenge

Go check out this candy to announce the launch of the new Wild Orchid Challenge blog! The challenges will all be based around using embellishments on your cards, so you don’t have to be a stamper to take part. The first challenge starts on Monday 12th July, only 5 days from now!
I'm not much of a stamper myself so maybe I can actually join in every now and then...
But enter challenges or not, I sure do hope I win this awesome lot of gorgeousness!

For Skissedilla's sketch # 54

Love staying home for the holidays! I'm getting so much scrapping done!

Just finished this for Skissedilla's sketch #54. Title means something like "Easter artistic creativity"... or something. It doesn't really make any sense in either language, but then again that's the beauty of artistic liscence, isn't it?

I've noticed that most "scrappy bloggers" put up a tools and product list at the end of their posts... is there really any need for me to do this? I mean, I'm not submitting anything... and half the time I have no idea what I'm actually using!
Opinions appreciated!

For ScrappeHuset's "Månedens inspirator"

This was the photo to be inspired by:

And obviously I was inspired by the colors!:

Journaling about how I love getting little "love notes" from my husband on SMS. =)

For Skissedilla's sketch # 53

Made this without a photo just because I thought the image was so cool. It's actually a wine bottle label from a bottle of wine you wouldn't think was very good, but was!

"Glee". For Skissedilla's sketch #52.
A very simple LO this time with a rather unconventional color for a little dude: Periwinkle!

He really does have the most wonderful laugh, this one!

For Skissedilla's sketch # 49

Another last minute LO for Skissedilla. I actually started this one last Sunday and left it sitting on my desk the whole week.Which usually means it'll never get done. So now I'm pretty proud of myself!

For Skissedilla's sketch # 46.
Photos taken by D's cousin Sarah's boyfriend, Kent
This was right after the 2009 Thanksgiving dinner at Dwight and Donna's house. It's always such a huge meal, it's nice to try and walk some of it off.

For Pencil Lines' sketch #168

Made for Pencil Lines' sketch #168. Title is in Norwegian and it says "Julebrev", which means Christmas letter. This was the photo I used for this year's Christmas "cards" and the notes in both Norwegian and English.

For Skissedilla's sketch # 43

Made this with a photo altered in Photoshop by my MIL. For Skissedilla's sketch #43.

For Scrappehuset's "Ønske-challenge"

This is for the sketch over at Scrappehuset that has to contain the word "ønske" or wish in some way:

Some ATCs

I call this set "How Vera Jacobson and her three daughters made it through the hard times of war". =)

A LO just because I can!!!

It's been a while since I scrapped. I was actually thinking about packing everything away for a while so our bedroom could be clean and so maybe I could just let my creativity simmer on a back burner for a while. Without actually doing anything. But then I had a surge of mojo and did three LOs today!
This one is my favorite I made of the three:

Love the bright colors!
The subject is reels. DH used to purchase these monsters, which I personally think of as giant spools of thread =). They're used for sub-sea cables and measure, at least these ones, 35 feet across. Hence the title; "35 foot reels".

For Pencil Lines sketch #167 by Donna Downey

I found this to be a very challenging sketch. Tried my best to work with it and this is what I came up with:

For Skissedilla's sketch # 40.

"Is this really winter wear?"

I've been so bad about taking pictures this winter that I decided to use a photo from last year for this LO.

For Skissedilla's sketch #39

It's been a while since I joined in on the fun over at Skissedilla. Been kind'a busy...
But now it's Christmas and I have two weeks off work! And I'm finally back in the mood to scrap. So I did and here's my take on sketch #39:

The little strips are cut-offs from the photos for my Christmas cards this year. And the red tag was a to/from tag on a present from my sister. Just flipped it over. The little lady at the bottom is from a tights package from Anthroplogie. =) Trying to re-use and re-purpose as much as I can these days. I have to say I'm really good at re-cycling! And now we'll have separated trash too! Yeay! I've been waiting eagerly for that.

For Skissedilla's sketch # 33

"Vaskepott" Or Cinderella with a twist =). My DD was such a good girl and cleaned ALL the floors one day.

For skissedilla's sketch #32

"Postcard". This was a postcard I sent to my grandparents back in 1983. From Sweden, I think... A goofy little rhyme in lack of anything important to say I guess.

Sorry this photo is so blurry.

Love the playfulness of the hand drawn sketch by Loredana Bucaria!
Only hope I did it justice...
