A LO just because I can!!!

It's been a while since I scrapped. I was actually thinking about packing everything away for a while so our bedroom could be clean and so maybe I could just let my creativity simmer on a back burner for a while. Without actually doing anything. But then I had a surge of mojo and did three LOs today!
This one is my favorite I made of the three:

Love the bright colors!
The subject is reels. DH used to purchase these monsters, which I personally think of as giant spools of thread =). They're used for sub-sea cables and measure, at least these ones, 35 feet across. Hence the title; "35 foot reels".

For Pencil Lines sketch #167 by Donna Downey

I found this to be a very challenging sketch. Tried my best to work with it and this is what I came up with:

For Skissedilla's sketch # 40.

"Is this really winter wear?"

I've been so bad about taking pictures this winter that I decided to use a photo from last year for this LO.

For Skissedilla's sketch #39

It's been a while since I joined in on the fun over at Skissedilla. Been kind'a busy...
But now it's Christmas and I have two weeks off work! And I'm finally back in the mood to scrap. So I did and here's my take on sketch #39:

The little strips are cut-offs from the photos for my Christmas cards this year. And the red tag was a to/from tag on a present from my sister. Just flipped it over. The little lady at the bottom is from a tights package from Anthroplogie. =) Trying to re-use and re-purpose as much as I can these days. I have to say I'm really good at re-cycling! And now we'll have separated trash too! Yeay! I've been waiting eagerly for that.

For Skissedilla's sketch # 33

"Vaskepott" Or Cinderella with a twist =). My DD was such a good girl and cleaned ALL the floors one day.

For skissedilla's sketch #32

"Postcard". This was a postcard I sent to my grandparents back in 1983. From Sweden, I think... A goofy little rhyme in lack of anything important to say I guess.

Sorry this photo is so blurry.

Only hope I did it justice...

Random LO

"Shine bright".
Just random LO I made yesterday with some happy papers.

For Skissedilla's sketch #28

I asked my husband to help me find a title for this LO (it's something I always struggle with) and he said "No!". Gee, thanks! So I asked my girl, who is the subject at hand. She thought for a minute and said I should title it "Pretty girl". =)
So I did.

For Skissedilla's sketch #27

Very unusual for me with no patterned paper.
My beautiful cousin and her gorgeous youngest son.
Thanks for stopping by!

"Blue steel"

This one is for Skissedilla's sketch #26.
Zoolander is one of my favorite movies, even though it's completely silly. =)
Journaling is on the little metal framed tags behind the photo. The ridiculously good looking model is my DS.

Skissedilla #21

I love fall! I love picking mushrooms. I love leisurly walks with my kids. I love fresh air. This weekend I got all of these times two! And no rain to boot!!!
And this is what I made last night. It feels so great to get lots of pictures on a LO and here I managed to get a whopping 17! And I still don't feel like it's crowded. Very happy with this one. =)

Edited: Right after posting a link to this on Skissedilla I noticed that the current sketch is numbered 24. Hmmm... Sometimes I wonder! On Friday I forgot I was going to a play with my mom and I've lost count of how many doc's appts I've missed the last year.

Fiskateer online crop

The Fisk-a-teers is a lovely place online.
Some online communities I've visited are less than friendly in their tone but this place is different. No matter your skill level or dedication you will feel welcome.
And they have online crops regularly. Tons of fun, tons of prizes to be won.
So come on over to the Fiskateers for a visit and sign up!

For Skissedilla's sketch # 20

I took some liberties with this sketch =). I like how it came out, though...
It's called "Skikkelig gammeldags", meaning "Really old fashioned". I made this for dinner last week after ending up with a head of cabbage accidentally. Kids were less than thrilled, but DH and I both enjoyed it =).

Some candy from Michelle 'cause it's her birthday!

Michelle's birthday is on Saturday the 15th so she wants to give someone else a gift!
Look at this:

I see some things I could use here! Yum! Candy!

I made this for Skissedilla's sketch #19:

I sure am a last minute kind of girl lately. Deadline is at 10pm, I register my entry at 9pm. Well, I figure; better late than never!

For the Americ Crafts blog challenge July 24

*Edited* The title of course should be "For the American Crafts blog challenge July 24", but if I change it the link won't be right. =)*

The challenge was to doodle on your LO using American Crafts pens or markers. I used a medium tipped white Galaxy marker for doodling directly on my photos. In addition I also used a broad rose metallic marker to edge all my photos and papers. The little calendar got enhanced with a broad glitter marker. I also used some white Subway Thickers on my LO (they show up much better IRL).
The subject is my DS at age 5 months:

For ScrappeMania's ScRapp #7

I made this Thursday night, as my first project after getting back from vacation:

It's for ScrappeMania's ScRapp #7 and features my niece and nephew whom I haven't seen for way too long. They are so cute! Their mom, Angela, took the photos.

Glimmer mist give away over at My Tattered Angels

They're having a give away over at My Tattered Angels:

Glimmer Mist is the same great product with a Fabulous NEW Look!
New bottles, same great product! I've never heard of anyone who tried glimmer mist who didn't love it.

For Scrappehuset's color blocking challenge

So this is for Scrappehuset's color blocking challenge:

Not quite sure about this one...

For Skissedilla's sketch #14

Vacation is just around the corner and I'm trying to get as much scrapping done as possible. Which is not really saying much. But I did make two LOs tonight.
This one is for Skissedilla's sketch #14:

The other one I'll post separately because it's for another challenge.

Vintage LOs for Scrappehuset

This month is Vintage month at Scrappehuset.
For this challenge I made a double LO showcasing my DH's and daughter's canceled passports. The only requirement my DH had for letting me scrap his passport was that he could take it out in 5 or 10 years to look at it if he wanted to. Check! They are very easy to take out. =)
These were made to be displayed next to each other. (Dhu! Obviously!)

"3"

Tiny E turned 3 last week and on his wish list was: 1) a fire truck 2) a big Spiderman and 3) a really big bicycle.
He got 2 out of three. Not bad. This LO shows him opening his fire truck in bed early in the morning.

Two old LOs that I love

Posted by Picasa

These are about 3 years old or so. Very very simple LOs in muted tones. I think the overall effect is quite nice. No? 1 day-old baby photos of my kiddos.

Random new LO

"Precious" (which I MISSPELLED for crying out loud!!! I absolutely HATE IT when that happens! I'll have to see if that A wants to come off of there...)

Candy!

Michelle is sharing a wonderful lot of "candy" over at her blog donkeysmiles.
Check this out:

I totally LOVE those MIL flowers! The rest isn't so bad either! =)

Another kinda' freestyle LO.

I was just browsing through my Ashely Calder book; "Scraptastic" where the front cover has a LO with a wire heart on it. So that was my inspiration although I think (maybe!) I went a little over board with the wire. I was just having so much fun with it!
Thanks for stopping by!

Freestyle!

A little bit of everything here. Hand cut title, some kid-made beads, a broken hairclip (butterfly at top), a German Scrap paper "journaling spot", wooden butterfly bead, another broken hairclip and some shiny paint. Had lots of fun making this one! For Scrappehuset's Tovetyll challenge. "Be inspired by the word rainbow and use lots of color and hand writing on your LO." It's very hard to see my journaling 'cause the tag is made from shiny paper, but it's there. And the title is hand made too. =)

ATC house

I made this last night, right after getting the notification from Juliet that she'd put the template on her blog:

It's a little storage house for ATCs! I had lots of fun making this. The tree was a whim, as was the "fruit". I'll have to make more of these, for sure. It didn't even take very long. About an hour for the house and then the decorating.

Pencil Lines 129

For Pencil Lines #129:

I was meaning to name this: "Smaken er som baken; delt!", but my cleverness had disappeared when the time came =). In English that would be something like; "Taste has two sides, just like your a**." But a little less crude. STM
